Who doesn't know Nintendo? They've released amazing games such as Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda, and today, I'm going to talk about my favorite Nintendo franchises.
Super Mario Bros.
You seriously should have saw this coming.
He originated in 1981, in the arcade game Donkey Kong, as Jumpman.
In Donkey Kong, you (Jumpman) mistreat your pet ape, and he breaks free and steals your girlfriend, and you have to get her back!
In 1982, he had his own game called Mario Bros. and it took place in the sewers of New York City, and you have to defeat the creatures in the sewer.
In 1985, he starred in Super Mario Bros. were you have to save Princess Toadstool from King Koopa.
In Super Mario Bros. 2, you have to escape dream land, or something, I don't know...
Mario Bros. 3 is the same story as the original, and so are all the other main series games.
If you haven't played Super Mario, then I don't know what you are doing with your life...
(Just Kidding)
The Legend Of Zelda
Another one of Nintendo's best selling franchises, LOZ is a Fantasy-RPG game.
Released in Japan in 1986, and worldwide in 1987, and this game is AWESOME.
You can explore awesome dungeons and a big open world to fight monsters in, and most Zelda games to this day are the same. They had their share of flops (Looking at you Phillips CD-i), but this game has sold a bazillion games... a bazillion trillion games... a bazillion trillion million games...
(Sequelitis Reference :D )
In 1986, you were put in a world and you could explore dungeons and save Zelda.
Zelda II, was weird, and I don't want to talk about it's sidescrolling thing...
A LINK TO THE PAST!!! Man... LTTP was the second best one, with an actual story and technically 3 dimensions, I mean, it has an X/Y Axis (left and right), and a Z Axis, because you can go between 2 floors in one place.
Ocarina of Time, though, is the best by far, I'm running out of space here, so look up Ocarina of Time, maybe download Mupen64 and an Ocarina ROM and play it. Trust me.
Metroid
I'll admit, I've never gotten far in a Metroid game, but they are fun. I love exploring caverns and fighting all the things I see. The game does a really good job on making you feel isolated, too.
I really have nothing much to say about this game...
WarioWare Inc.
I also don't have much to say about this game except for, PLAY IT.
The minigames are amazing, and it's overall insanely fun.
Starfox
I mostly like the N64 version of this game, and don't mention Starfox Adventures to me, but anyway,
Starfox is a plane shooter game where you have to defend your home, Corneria, and fight off invaders, and their boss Andross. Oh yeah, Slippy is annoying, too.
DO A BARREL ROLL!!!
Conker
WARNING: THIS IS AN M-RATED GAME
Conker's Bad Fur Day is a game for the N64, where you are an alcoholic squirrel named Conker, and all you want is Money. This game has a lot of rude humor, and if you're ten (or under) don't play this game. Ok, Conker's creators, Rareware, aren't owned by Nintendo anymore, but we could expect a Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 on the Xbox One. Not soon, though, because Rareware is busy making Kinect Sports games... I'm so sorry Rare... R.I.P Rareware 1990-2001
Here is a picture of Conker in-game: (Picture has weapons, don't view at school)
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong is a game like Mario, except the "power-ups" are animal friends.
One common example is the Rhino.
This game got it's start with: Donkey Kong (1981), Donkey Kong Jr. (1982), and DK Country (1994)
It is really fun, except for Minecart Carnage in DK Country...
Oh, how I hate that level...
