How to Unlock your Bootloader on Zenfone 5 (A500CG/A501CG) [With Video]

How to Unlock your Bootloader on Zenfone 5 (A500CG/A501CG) [With Video] - First announced in March 2017, the Xperia L1 has come to replace Sony’s now discontinued E series. Priced at a surprisingly cheap £169, the L1 is Sony’s newest attempt at shaking up the budget phone market. Its large screen and sleek design make us think of Sony’s higher range of smartphones: it would be hard to single it out as the cheapest model in a line of Xperias. But at such a bargain price, we can’t expect it to perform as well as its more expensive counterparts. So how does the L1 hold up to other low-budget smartphones? Here’s our Xperia L1 review. first time the View branding, well we have collected a lot of data from the field directly and from many other blogs so very complete his discussion here about How to Unlock your Bootloader on Zenfone 5 (A500CG/A501CG) [With Video], on this blog we also have to provide the latest automotive information from all the brands associated with the automobile. ok please continue reading:

Donwloads:
Method 1 toolkit : Donwload from author's blog here.
Method 2 toolkit : Download from my Google Drive here.
Fastboot tools : Download from MediaFire here.

By the way if you have followed any of my previous tutorials like Multi-user mode or Installing Xposed on Lollipop your Bootloader is pretty much unlocked. Still repeating the process double ensures it.

Okay so before we get started with this let me remind you again that the official method works on Kitkat and not on Lollipop so you need to do it manually. This will void your warranty and prevent you from getting OTA updates though I doubt ASUS will ever push out any..
SO PLEASE DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

There are two methods as I will show in my video too, so if you don't like reading see the video from the Link below.

METHOD 1 : So the first method is an automated method and made by SatySatsZ B and you can download his tool from here.

So once you download the tool and extract it with the password connect you phone via USB(make sure ADB Debugging is enabled) , run the Bootloader-Unlock_Relock.exe and press 1 and hit enter. Let the process complete and you will have a unlocked boot-loader and you can progress with installing CyanogenMod 12.1 on your Zenfone.

METHOD 2 : The second method is manual. You need to download the Toolkit from above.
Extract the files and copy them to the Fastboot folder. If you don't have it you can download it from above.

Connect your phone via USB with Debugging enabled and in the fastboot folder press CTRL+SHIFT+RIGHT CLICK and select "Open command window here"

Then type out this command and hit enter

          adb reboot bootloader
Your phone will reboot to your bootloader. Once there you need to flash the three files. Type in this command first and hit enter.

          fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img

when that is done you need to reboot the bootloader. Type the following command and hit enter.

          fastboot reboot-bootloader
When your phone reboots into the bootloader you can continue to flash the second file. Type the following command and hit enter.

          fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin

When that is done go ahead and flash the last file. Type this and hit enter..

           fastboot flash ifwi ifwi_ctp_a500cg_unlock.bin

Now your bootloader is unlocked and you can continue installing CyanogenMod 12.1 on your Zenfone from the link above. If you don't want to read, follow this video from the link down below.
